A family-friendly event for trick-or-treaters is coming soon to Sandy Springs.

‘”pooky Springs” is set for Oct. 21 at the Abernathy Greenway Park.

Admission is free and the city says it’s a safe event for young folks dressed up and looking for candy in October.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening and will feature trick-or-treat stations, face painting, photo ops and concession-style food available for purchase.

Parking is available at the Sandy Springs Christian Church at 301 Johnson Ferry Road. The city encourages residents who live in nearby neighborhoods to walk to the event. The only on-site parking will be for people with handicapped passes.
