Folks in north Fulton County will soon have a new spot to buy and drink beer.
Tap & Six, a craft beer tap house and retail market, is set to open on Saturday.
Located at 23 Oak St., Tap & Six will feature 40 beers on tap and more than 250 canned and bottled beers for folks to buy and take home.
“We are excited to be part of the Historic Roswell scene which has become such a great craft beer destination,” Ethan Craig, Tap & Six’s general manager, said in a statement. “Our aim is to make Tap & Six a casual and comfortable neighborhood place to try a new beer after work and on weekends, relax for a night out with friends, and bring the family for food and a soda after the kids’ games.”
Ethan and his father David founded Tap & Six, which will be Roswell’s fist craft beer tap house.
It was made possible by Senate Bill 85, which cleared the way for direct sales of beer at Georgia’s craft breweries and beer pubs, and an ordinance change in Roswell, which previously required businesses to sell at least 51 percent food in order to sell alcohol. A change to that ordinance, which allowed craft beer and wine markets to sell alcohol exclusively, was approved in June.
But Tap & Six will also serve food. It’s menu features artisan flatbreads, cheese platters, pretzels with beer cheese dip, chili, salads and soups. A semi-private room is available to rent for small events and meetings.
The tap house spans over 3,000 square feet and features lounge areas, high-top tables, TVs, and a bar. Wine is also available.
Tap & Six customers will also be able to purchase 64-ounce growlers and custom six packs. Brew options include non-alcoholic and gluten-free varieties.
The tap house will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
