A Gwinnett Korean restaurant had its permit suspended Wednesday after failing its second straight health inspection.
Officials reported finding "several rodent fecal droppings."
Seoul Restaurant, located at 3585 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Duluth, received a 61/U on Wednesday's inspection, a follow-up to an Aug. 1 evaluation in which it scored a 56/U.
During Wednesday's inspection, officials noted the rodent droppings "on and around equipment in [the] facility." Employees were also washing hands with cold water "because two of the three hand washing sinks in kitchen do not have hot water." An older, passing inspection score — not the more recent 56/U — was posted as well, the inspection report said.
"During today's inspection," the report said, "person in charge was responsible for many of the violations that occurred."
The restaurant's permit was suspended due to two consecutive failures and "multiple violations left uncorreected." A "compliance conference" was scheduled for Thursday morning, after which the permit may be reinstated, the report said.
Attempts to contact Seoul Restaurant have been unsuccessful.
