A restaurant on Emory University's campus failed a routine health inspection after improperly handling food, according to a report.

Yellow Hat Café scored a 65 on Monday after officials noted that was no certified food safety manager at on site.

Food was also improperly separated and protected from contamination, according to the report.

According to the report, the cafe is in the Yerkes National Primate Research Center on the north side of Emory's campus.

"We fully expect the score will return to the 90s," Lisa Newbern, spokeswoman for the research center, wrote in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We look forward to a successful re-inspection."
