A new tenant has signed on to do business at Parsons Alley, downtown Duluth's budding restaurant and retail district.

Personify Shop — a “lifestyle boutique shop” that currently operates in Lakemont, a small town in the north Georgia mountains — made the announcement on its Facebook page over the weekend.

It hopes to open in April.

The retailer will join an already impressive list of current and future tenants for Parsons Alley, a major redevelopment project that began last year at the intersection of Duluth’s West Lawrenceville and Main streets.

Dreamland Bar-B-Q is already doing business there, and future tenants include a brewpub from the folks behind Decatur's Brick Store Pub, a much-anticipated Korean steakhouse and a brick-and-mortar location for food truck Simply Done Donuts.

O4W Pizza also moved to the area last year.

Personify Shop's website says its "for the modern, vibrant, colorful, whimsical, and bohemian life" and specializes in "a unique selection of women's clothing, lifestyle accessories, home goods, and gifts."

Across Buford Highway from Parsons Alley, a $64 million mixed-use project is also under construction at the site of the former Proctor Square shopping center. That is slated to include hundreds of apartments, a pair of restaurant spaces and nearly a dozen other storefronts.
