The Mall of Georgia's newest burger joint will open later this month.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, a national chain founded in 1969, will open its new location at 11 a.m. Aug. 29. The restaurant is at the mall's Ga. 20-facing entrance, in the former Ruby Tuesday's location.
Red Robin offers "more than two dozen innovative gourmet burgers ... and more than 100 different toppings." The Mall of Georgia location will be itssecond in Gwinnett and fourth in metro Atlanta. Existing locations include one at 1250 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville and others in Cumming and Newnan.
Between the opening and Sept. 4, the Mall of Georgia Red Robin will donate sale proceeds from its signature "freckled lemonade" to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to curing childhood cancers.
