Young ballet students in the Atlanta area may audition to perform in the “Great Russian Nutcracker.”

Moscow Ballet soloist and audition director Olena Pedan will consider ballerinas ages six to 18 on Sept. 30 at noon at the International City School of Ballet, 1295 W. Spring Street S.E. in Smyrna. 

The audition is open to students from dance studios in metro Atlanta with a minimum one year of ballet training.

Successful auditionees will perform with the Moscow Ballet in roles such as party children, mice, snowflakes and snow maidens.

The production takes place Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Robert Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech. Find tickets here.
