A swarm of food trucks will soon converge on downtown Atlanta every Friday around lunchtime.

Food Truck Fridays, a seasonal weekly event that brings up to eight food trucks to the Broad Street Plaza at Five Points MARTA Station, will run May 5 to Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is a partnership between Central Atlanta Progress/Atlanta Downtown Improvement District and the city of Atlanta.

In 2016, some of the vendors included Bento Bus, Brazilian Taste Truck, Island Chef Mobile, Ibiza Bites, Espetada, King of Pops, Pup Truck, Seven Seas Mediterranean Cafe, Tempted Palate, Triple Jay’s Pizza and Willy’s Mexican Grill.

The schedule of dates and vendors that will be at 12 Broad St. NW is updated weekly. Live musicians and community outreach groups may also set up during the busy lunch hour.

These are the trucks expected at the season's first event, May 5.
