A new Gwinnett hamburger spot is celebrating its grand opening with a challenge to eat a nine-patty burger as fast as you can.

Wayback Burgers, a fast casual chain, will open in Lawrenceville June 23. In addition to giving away free burgers with a purchase during its first two days of operation, the restaurant will hold the “Triple Triple Contest” at 2 p.m. June 24.

The “Triple Triple” is a nine-patty burger on the restaurant’s menu. The guest who eats the sandwich the fastest will receive an unspecified prize. Diners will also have the opportunity to enter to win free burgers for a year.

The celebration begins June 24 at 1:30 p.m. The restaurant will be in the Shops at Huntcrest Shopping Center at 1030 Old Peachtree Rd. NW in Lawrenceville.
