Cobb is getting a hip new bowling alley that serves a 5-pound burger

If you've ever wanted to go to the grand opening of a bowling alley in Marietta, then spray those shoes and get ready for free things.

A bowling company named Bowlero is having its grand opening in the old Brunswick's at 2749 Delk Road from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 10.

They explained the new set up with a lot of buzzwords. Here are some:

It's a "hipster-inspired, retro-awesome venue" with 40 blacklight bowling lanes that features an "interactive arcade" and "hip lounge areas."

You'll get a $5 arcade card at the event and a free round of bowling.

If you've worked up an appetite from a rousing game of bowling, sample specialties from its "mouth-rageous menu." (The Merriam-Webster dictionary fails society by not having an entry for "mouth-rageous.")

At the grand opening, you may glean the meaning for yourself starting with the "Behemoth Burger."

For the uninitiated, that's a five-pound, 14-inch-wide burger that someone named one of America’s top burgers.

If you still have room in your stomach or another gut handy, the two-foot "Coney Mega Dog" is yours to dine on.

And if your jaw still has power, don't forget the "gigantic Party Pretzel."

You'd be incorrect to assume they won't serve you alcohol in a fishbowl from the "high-end sports bar" because they will and its named the "Dunk Tank."

If you find yourself a bit east of town Saturday and still craving the authentic Bowlero grand opening experience, fear not because the company is also opening a location in Peachtree Corners at 6345 Spalding Drive that day.
