By now you've heard the news, DeKalb.

It's the season, and this one is loaded with Christmas events around the county for all ages and tastes.

With that in mind, the following is a sampling of outings you and your family might try.

ATLANTA

Christmas at Callanwolde

The Christmas event series includes a variety of holiday attractions including a massive lights display.

Winter Wonderland at Fernbank

10 a.m. -5 p.m. through Jan. 8, every day except Sunday. The cost of admission, free to museum members. Fernbank Museum of Natural History will feature two floors of festive trees decorated by cultural partners to reflect traditions and holidays celebrated around the world.

AVONDALE ESTATES

City Christmas Tree Lighting

The event will start with carol singing, followed by the lighting of the tree, followed by Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cider and a visit from Santa Claus.

Christmas in Avondale Estates Holiday Market and Tour of Homes
