Our beloved city of Atlanta was recently named among WalletHub's "Most Fun Cities in America" ranking—not that we needed the personal finance website to tell us something we already knew, right?

Atlanta ranked No. 9 among 150 of the largest American cities. WalletHub analysts tallied up individual city scores according to three basic components of fun: 1) entertainment and recreation, 2) nightlife and parties and 3) costs.

These components included 51 key metrics like number of festivals, restaurants, fitness centers, clubs per capita and many more.

Of the 150 largest American cities, Atlanta came in at No. 1 for number of restaurants and fitness centers per capita.

The city ranked fourth for number of dance clubs per capita and sixth for number of festivals.
