The grieving parents of a teenager in Iowa who died in 2016 are taking comfort that their son has been able to help so many people through organ donation.

Drew Lienemann, 18, died in January 2016 from injuries sustained in a suicide attempt two days prior, according to his parent's account to KCCI. The Lienemanns went public with their son's suicide in hopes of helping other teens going through difficult times.

Drew's organs and tissues have helped 194 people so far, and the number may grow, according to KCCI.

The Lienemanns encourage others to become organ donors.
