Jason Raymond’s move to a condo in Horizon at Wildwood already was part of a hectic week as he helped open Marietta’s Stem Wine Bar, where he is general manager and sommelier. Then Raymond sustained neck and back injuries in an accident that totaled his car.

“To say it was the most stressful week of my life would probably be an understatement,” he said.

His home, however, exudes calm, with gray walls and minimal decor. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of trees and the sunset, and eventually the new Atlanta Braves stadium, planned to be built less than a mile away.

Favorite interior design elements: Repainted the entire unit in seven shades of gray, covering up walls that previously looked like a Crayola box of colors, Raymond said.

Favorite piece of furniture: Custom-built gray oak table that can seat up to 12 people in the dining area.

Design consultants: Maddi Reynolds from Home Decorators Collection; Chris Prillaman of Illinois-based Rustic Ink, who built the dining table.

Favorite outdoor features: The complex’s amenities, including a pool and fire pit, which offer another place to entertain and can be viewed from areas including the balcony and guest room. “This looks over to the pool area, hot tub and fireplace,” Raymond said. “It kind of feels like that is part of my place.”
