Patti LaBelle had folks singing - and scrambling - for one of her sweet potato pies.

Now Wal-Mart has upped the ante with two new offerings from the singer and cookbook author - a vanilla pound cake and a caramel cake.

Imara Canady, an Atlanta community engagement specialist, snagged the pound cake at the Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Wal-Mart after a trip to his dentist (I won't tell, if you don't).

You might just hear him singing a tune or two.

“Oh, it is divine,” said Canady, who isn’t a huge fan of desserts. “It is so moist and it’s very easy to have a dry pound cake. I was really surprised. You know how it is when you get a store-bought cake, but this tastes like freshly-made cake.”

While at Wal-Mart, Canady also got one of her sweet potato pies, although he hasn’t dug into that one yet.

You might recall James Wright Chanel singing the Miss Patti's and the sweet potato pie's praises earlier this year.

Dessert lovers and would-be singers can go to Wal-Mart's website and see if the cakes are carried near you.
