If aluminum foil is a staple in your kitchen, you probably know the struggle of having the cardboard roll pop out at the most inopportune times.

But according to Business Insider, there's a simple trick to avoid the problem that many folks probably never knew about.

On the outer sides of your aluminum foil box, there are tabs that you can press to lock your roll in place.

In fact, some foil brands even have instructions you’ve probably overlooked.
