Wing lovers can dine on all the chicken they like at the fourth annual Slingin' Wings Festival later this month.

The event, which  is hosted at City Springs in downtown Sandy Springs, proclaims itself as Atlanta’s No. 1 saucy wing and beer festival — and with good reason.

“Restaurants from all over the city will be slingin' wings all day long for your tasting pleasure!  In addition to a full day of good eats, we've got an awesome lineup of frosty brews, live local music, and all kinds of contests and activities to keep you entertained,” the event description states.

Nearly a dozen vendors are slated to offer their wings at the May 16 event and more will be announced. So far, Hobnob, Three Dollar Cafe, Wild Wing Cafe and Around The Way Gourmet are among the restaurants included in the line up.

Guests can buy general admission tickets for $12 or wing lover passes for $31. All attendees get access to all the festival areas and can enjoy live music, food and bars. They'll also get to cast their vote in the People's Choice Ballot. However, wing lovers also get nearly quadruple the complimentary wing vouchers and a souvenir cup.

All the eating has charitable benefits, too. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go toward Releash Atlanta, a non-profit organization that works to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters across the state.
