Q: My aunt is a huge “Downton Abbey” fan and I’d love to find Mrs. Patmore’s blueberry tea; that was her favorite character. I’m not sure who makes it, but I think it would make her day and help her get over the fact that the show is over. Shelley Smith, email
A: What a thoughtful idea. Mrs. Patmore’s blueberry scone tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea infused with berries. It’s made by The Republic of Tea, and comes in a gold-and-white tin with an image of the stern but lovable cook on the label. The company makes a series of teas dedicated to “Downton Abbey.” They include Crawley Sisters tea, Lady Cora’s evening tea and Downton Christmas tea. You can find the tin holding 36 teabags for $11.99 at Cost Plus World Market, 840 Ernest W. Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw, 770-794-4777.
Q: I’m trying to get a head start for holiday preparations since I’m usually hosting our large family. I’m not having any luck finding those containers that you see at the fair or at hot dog stands. It’s a single rectangular piece with three or four compartments that hold a couple of cups each of chopped onions, mayo, relish or other things. It doesn’t have a lid. I’d like to try a couple of these for my buffet. Any suggestions? Helen Perez, email
A: Check out the four-pint condiment holder, $22.45, at Atlanta Fixture and Sales, 3185 Northeast Expressway, Atlanta, 770-455-8844. It has a stainless-steel base in which four pint-size plastic removable inserts sit.
Q: I love to sew for my family, and I often wish I had my sewing machine and basket with me when I visit my kids who live out of town. I have hauled my small sewing machine on long drives to visit them, but it’s difficult to gather everything in one place. I recently read about a sewing kit on wheels, similar to stacking pieces of luggage, and it holds the machine, too. I cut out the magazine article and lost it. I don’t do much on the computer, can you help me find this please? It would make traveling with my sewing things more convenient. Thank you. Nancy Adams, email
A: Nancy, it sounds as if you’re describing the Everything Mary Sewing Room on wheels, which is a four-piece set that includes a rolling case (with a telescoping handle) that holds a sewing machine, a soft-sided sewing box, notions organizer and a travel pouch. All of the pieces nest inside the rolling case when not in use, so you should be able to keep your gear organized when you travel. You’ll find it for $44.99 at Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts, 965 North Point Drive, Alpharetta, 770-475-5454.
Q: I loved L’Oreal HIP loose powder eye shadow. My favorite was the color Rebel. I know it’s discontinued but I wondered if there was any left that I could order. Please help me find this, if it’s at all possible. W. Marshall, email
A: That’s so frustrating when your favorite makeup item disappears. However, I have good news. You can order L’Oreal HIP High Intensity Pigments eye shadow in Rebel 314 for $7.99 through www.buymebeauty.com. Of course, I recommend you get as many as you can afford because it’s only a matter of time before the stash disappears.
