Q: Many decades ago, I purchased two sets of percale sheets. One brand was Cannon. They are threadbare now, but I still love the crisp, cool feel of these sheets. They are a blend of polyester and cotton, and they dry without one wrinkle. I have researched sheets online but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Most percale sheets I have found are 100 percent cotton, and the reviews state they are very wrinkly right out of the dryer. Are the sheets I am looking for even made any more? I’d appreciate any help you could give me. Thank you. Linda Lee, Lilburn

A: Linda, I feel your pain. I fell in love with a set of modal sheets years ago, and I was foolish enough to think I'd always find them. I never did, and recently threw away what was left of my favorite sheets. You're right, most of the percale sheets today boast that they're all cotton. However, I tracked down some sheets that offer a percale weave for that crisp cool feel, but they're a blend of cotton and polyester. You might want to give them a try. They're originally $50 to $130, but currently on sale for 50 to 60 percent off. I found them online, so that sale price could last for a while. Check out Jcpenney.com and look for JCPenny Home 300tc (thread count) Easy Care sheet set. The web ID number is 7233084. While you have to order them online, you can have them shipped for free to your nearest JCPenny store.

Q: I’ve read “Where can I find it?” in the AJC for many years. I am really hoping that you can help me with a couple of beauty products that have apparently been discontinued, and I miss them terribly. Is there somewhere I can buy them — maybe — just a couple more times? Hopefully? Clinique Happy Heart body cream, 6.7-ounces and Princess Marcella Borghese moisture lipstick in primale pink. I sincerely hope that you will be able to help me. Thank you. Donna B. Gensler, email

A: Thank you for reading, Donna. OK, so, yes, you can get both of these one more time, but then I really would like to see you move on and find other favorites because continuing to chase these will leave you disappointed and with a much lighter bank account. Clinique Happy Heart body cream, 6.7 ounces, is going to cost you a whopping $77.14 through amazon.com. Even the free shipping won't soothe the sting much. This is one of those times when I won't suggest stocking up. But, if you really can't live without Happy Heart, note that there are about 17 tubes left in stock. As for the Borghese moisturizing lipstick in primale pink, I might have found the last one on the planet, but the good news is that it's priced at $10.39. You can order it online through sophiasbeauty.com.

Q: Is there anywhere in the Atlanta area where Mentadent toothpaste is still available? My husband has used this for years and I cannot find it anywhere in Douglasville. Carolyn Trimble, email

A: Arm and Hammer recently placed a notice on its website informing customers that, as of this past spring, it is no longer producing Mentadent toothpaste. But, at this time, it's still available from amazon.com, where a pack of two refills sells for $45. It's also on eBay, and two refills sell for a little less at $32.99. If your husband really likes it, you might want to buy as much as you can because it won't last.

Q: When I was a kid, my mother would make the best spaghetti sauce with a mix called Spatini. It wasn’t from a jar or a can, but a seasoning packet. I haven’t seen it in stores in years, and I’m not sure where to look. I would order it if it’s still made, as long as you can find a reliable source for me. I’d love to make my mother’s sauce. Thanks. L. Smith, email

A: Spatini, created in the 1950s, is a seasoning blend that combines herbs, including oregano, with salt, sugar, dehydrated onion, potato starch and garlic powder. Mixed with tomatoes, it makes a flavorful sauce for spaghetti. Spatini no longer comes in the small packets you might remember; it's now marketed to commercial use. Currently owned by Lawry's, Spatini comes in 15-ounce bags. You can order your own stash of Spatini for $15.95 through vermontcountrystore.com, or by calling 800-547-7849. Ask for item number 55080. Each bag provides enough seasoning for 18 pints of sauce.
