Some Memorial Day sales are lingering, but most are over by now. Don't fret. There are some store openings happening in the city and unfortunately, some store closings that will bring sales for weeks to come. Check out some of these events:

Sports Authority: All Sports Authority locations are closing. You'll want to take advantage of these sales before they are gone for good. The discounts just started last week and while items aren't deeply discounted now, it's still worth a shot to go check them out. From workout gear to golf equipment to baseball accessories, everything is up to 30% off right now. You can hold out until they offer deeper discounts, but you may miss out on good items. The last day is in August so check in weekly to see when they start offering higher discounts. All Sports Authority locations including Akers Mills Square, 2963 Cobb Pkwy, Atlanta. 770-955-6662

Sephora: There is a brand new Sephora in town. Ponce City Market's Sephora just had their grand opening Friday, May 27th and is the first non-mall location in Atlanta. This new vibrant 4,000 square foot location is the perfect in-town location right by the beltline. You can pick up all of your beauty goodies right in the heart of the city now. Ponce City Market, 650 North Avenue, Atlanta. 404-532-1591

Von Maur: Trunk Shows galore at Von Maur in Perimeter Mall. This Saturday, June 4th, there will be several trunks shows, gifts with purchase, and giveaways. Some brands and items participating are Travis Matthew, Frye, and a cuff links and tie bar. This might be a good time to get a Father's Day gift and be ahead of the curve. 4400 Ashford-Dunwoody Road, Atlanta. 770-522-0468
