Metro Atlantans can learn more about the Vine City area and get fit by participating the the “Run Through the Vine 5K” event, which will be held at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 8.

The event is hosted by the Quest Community Development Organization, a nonprofit that develops affordable housing and social services, and sponsored by the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.

There will be a 5K run for the more serious runners and a 5k self-guided tour for the fitness and culture minded folks.

Participants can explore the historicVine City community and see how it is being revitalized by residents, businesses and civic organizations.

Proceeds, in part, will benefit Quest’s work in the area.

Registration is $30 and $35 the day of the race.
