Daddy-daughter dance: A daddy-daughter dance for pre-K through sixth grade girls and their dad, stepdad, grandfather, uncle, older brother and other father-like figures will feature dinner, dancing, a keepsake and prizes. Blue Christmas: While many feel people joyful during the Christmas season, others experience loss, disappointment and other challenges. This Advent, a special Blue Christmas service will acknowledge that sometimes this season is difficult and isolating, but will also offer this reminder: God brings light to illumine dark places. Secret ugly sweater party: Ebenezer Baptist Church's Young Adult Ministry will host an ugly sweater Christmas party for people ages 21-39. Attendees should bring a covered dish as well as donation items like new winter socks, gloves, scarves and hats, which will be distributed to homeless persons. Cue a concert: Hear the sounds of rejoicing as the gospel choirs of St. John's Episcopal Church and Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church present Advent In Blue, a mini-concert of seasonal music sung in a gospel-music tradition.
