Walk campaign: Experience a "blizzard" during the 2016 MG Walk Snowflake Campaign to benefit the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) beginning at 9 a.m. April 2 at Chamblee First United Methodist Church. Cooking class and book signing: Chef Paula Shoyer will host a cooking class and book signing on April 10 during the Page From the Book Festival, hosted by the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. At 3 p.m. in the Kuniansky Family Center, Shoyer will lead a master cooking class, cooking a recipe from her book. Tickets are $65-$80 and will include the class, a copy of the book and admission to the author talk later in the evening. Run for fun: An Exodus 5K/1 mile Fun Run will encourage participants to run while clad in costume. The 5K run will begin at 8:15 a.m. April 17 at Congregation Ner Tamid. Gala for good: The annual Emmaus House gala will celebrate the resilient human spirit that inspires children and families to build better lives for themselves from 5-8 p.m. April 17 at the Carter Center (453 Freedom Parkway N.E., Atlanta). Something new: Designed to offer praise, reflection and encouragement, the New Traditions service welcomes people of all ages and stages of faith to a modern worship service, which meets at 11:15 a.m. Sundays at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
