Facebook is more than just pictures of friend's lunch, animal videos and political arguments.

Sometimes social media can make something special happen, as was the case for an Alabama couple.

Cindy Cody reached out to Facebook to help put on a wedding for her son Daniel and his girlfriend of 13 years Belinda, WBRC reported.

Both have cerebral palsy, WBRC reported.

Both her son and his fiancee are wheelchair-bound.

The post went viral and hundreds of well-meaning people donated dresses, the venue and even the food to make the wedding happen.

Using a special computer that speaks as they type, Daniel and Belinda exchanged their vows over the weekend.
