Vivian, a 2-year-old spayed domestic shorthair mix, is a gorgeous smoke-gray tabby who enjoys affection. Cats enjoy high perching places, so make sure Vivian will have cubbies and spots of her own. She does enjoy playing with toys, and has been housed with other cats at the shelter and seems to get along fine with them. This sweet girl will benefit from brushing on a regular basis to help keep shedding to a minimum and her soft fur shiny, and having her nails clipped. Scratching is natural for cats, so keeping their claws short and giving them appropriate places to scratch is helping to fulfill their needs. Vivian is quiet and contemplative, and doesn’t enjoy being held for long periods; she prefers to come to you for affection. This means she will probably be happiest in a quiet home without young children. All canine and feline adoptions from AHS include free extras, but the initial cost of a dog or cat is only part of the money a new owner will need to spend to properly care for a pet during its lifetime. Come visit with this gorgeous girl and see if she is right for you. Vivian has been microchipped and dewormed. She will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road, N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications.
