POW

Bentley, an 11-month-old neutered Lab/pit bull mix, is an energetic, fun guy who loves playing with other dogs, hanging out with people, and being a part of the action. Bentley will benefit from an experienced dog owner who has a fenced yard; he is strong and will need exercise, and until he has learned how to walk nicely on a leash, a yard will be helpful for his person. Bentley loves to play, and while he is rough and tumble, he would enjoy another dog to play with who can keep up with him. He’s outgoing, alert, affectionate, and he has one bent ear that makes him stand out against other black dogs. Of course, he will need training to be his best; he knows a few commands already, but he is eager to learn more. The Atlanta Humane Society has training programs that can help you make the most of your dog. Not much is known about how he feels regarding children (both breeds are typically good with well-behaved children), so bring the whole family (including any existing dogs) to meet him. He’s almost full grown, but yet still quite puppyish. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations (though he will need a rabies shot, which will be free at one of AHS’ partner VCA clinics) and has been microchipped and dewormed. Bentley will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 11 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications.
