Sabrina, a 2.5-month-old spayed longhaired Siamese mix, is a sweet, energetic kitten who can’t wait to find the perfect home where she can live indoors and thrive. She does enjoy playing with toys, and has been housed with other cats in her foster home and seems to get along fine with them. This sweet girl will benefit from brushing on a regular basis to help keep her luxurious coat free from mats. Sabrina will need a good scratching post to keep her claws in top shape. Your veterinarian can show you how to trim the claws regularly to cut down on inappropriate scratching. Scratching is natural for cats, so keeping their claws short and giving them appropriate places to scratch is helping to fulfill their needs. This young kitty may be an appropriate playmate for an existing kitten or young cat, and she may even enjoy the company of a friendly, calm, trained dog. All pet-to-pet introductions should be made slowly to give everyone time to adjust; the Atlanta Humane Society has a brochure explaining this. Sabrina will need more kitten shots in the coming weeks; your adoption counselor will give you more details. Sabrina has been microchipped and dewormed. She will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications.
