Very few parts of James Brown's Beech Island, S.C., mansion look the same as they did when he died on Christmas Day 2006. The house was plundered for a Christie's auction, but several items remain. Russell Bauknight, the estate's fiduciary, and David Washington, the mansion's groundskeeper, work to keep the mansion and its contents secure.
