Blade the tortoise wasn’t just a slowpoke, he was a no-poke.
That's because Blade suffers from a growth disorder that makes his legs unable to hold his weight, according to the Daily Mail.
But thanks to one innovative veterinarian, Blade is back on the move.
Since there are no walking aid devices designed specifically for tortoises, Dr. Carsten Plischke borrowed a few Legos from his son’s toy collection to create a platform with two sets of wheels. The platform was connected to the stomach of the tortoise, allowing him to become mobile once again.
While clever, the solution is expected to be temporary, as Blade is expected to regain strength in his legs.
This is not the first time toys have been used help animals with mobility issues. This summer, Turbo, a two-legged teacup Chihuahua, stole the hearts of the Internet with his cart made from toys.
