Evidence the zebra's first anniversary at Noah's Ark

IT'S BEEN almost a year since Evidence the Zebra made his Atlanta "debut." He now lives at Noah's Ark in Locust Grove, and has a good friend in Noah's Ark co-founder Charles "Pop" Hedgecoth Sr.

HEDGECOTH SAYS: "It's been a fun year. I've worked with horses all my life and if there's one thing Evidence has taught me, it's that he's not a horse -- he's a zebra! He's been good for Noah's Ark, and we just think he's awesome."

ZEBRAS DON'T usually wear hats, but Evidence likes to steal Pop's hat once in a while.

NOAH'S ARK declared Feb. 14 as Evidence's birthday. Recently 4-year-olds from Decatur's College Heights Early Child Learning Center gave him a green "stall ball" as a gift.

THE BALL has two flavored licks attached, cherry and mint (pictured), so chosen because the students thought Evidence might have bad breath -- because zebras can't brush their teeth!

THE ZEBRA will be the guest of honor at a first-anniversary party April 4 at Noah's Ark. Details at noahs-ark.org.
