According to the Dorkling and Leatherhead Advertiser, when Westcott resident Nancy Cowen was required to move into a nearby care home, she left her cat in the care of neighbors.

About two weeks later, a friendly cat showed up at Bramley House, the care home where Cowen now resides. The cat would sleep on benches outside the facility. The staff took a liking to the sweet feline, and one day, a staff member picked the cat up in the presence of Cowen.

Cowen said that the cat looked like her cat Cleo, down to the missing part of her tail.

Cowen’s sister confirmed that the cat hanging out at the nursing home was indeed Cleo.

Bramley House staff welcomed Cleo into the care home, where she has been happily reunited with Cowen.

Staff say that not only will they care for the cat for as long as Cowen resides at the facility, but will provide her with a loving home for as long as she needs in the future.
