Chattapoochee Dog Park, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Free, 4291 Rogers Bridge Road in Duluth, 770-814-6981, www.duluthga.net. One of Gwinnett's most popular dog parks, the Chattapoochee has large and small dog areas, water stations, and benches. Each year, Duluth holds a special election to find a new dog mayor. This year's mayors, Larry and Lyla, announced the reopening of the large dog park area on Nov. 2. Due to the activity level of large paws, repairs were needed to the sod along with additional landscape renovations. More info here.

Settles Bridge Park, Sunrise to Sunset, Free, 380 Johnson Road in Suwanee, 678-277-0910. Your doggies will have no trouble making new friends here. This dog park offers three dog areas, one communal, one for large dogs, one for the smaller set, drinking water, and agility equipment. More info here.

Ronald Reagan Park, Sunrise to Sunset, Free, 2777 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville, 678-277-0179. This easy-to-find park has a nice grassy area, some agility equipment and a small dog area. More info here.

Rabbit Hill Dog Park, Sunrise to 11 p.m., Free, 400 Rabbit Hill Road in Dacula, 770-978-5270. Part of the Rabbit Hill Park, this lovely dog park has drinking water, a separate area for small dogs and shaded area thanks to lots of trees. There is a long narrow run area great for chasing tennis balls. The large dog area has a tunnel and frame obstacle for pups to enjoy. More info here.

Graves Park, Sunrise to Sunset, Free, 1540 Graves Road in Norcross, 678-277-0860. This dog park has grassed areas, benches, drinking water and some agility equipment. Pups can play in the communal area, large dog or small dog areas. More info here.

Pinkneyville Park, Sunrise until 11 p.m., Free, 4758 South Old Peachtree Road in Norcross, 678-277-0920. This beautiful park has separate small and large dog areas, shady spots, watering station and lots of room. The large dog area is quite large with hills so your friendly beast can get lots of exercise. More info here.
