MyAJC photos: Remembering Ty Cobb, the 'Georgia Peach'
Tyrus Raymond Cobb, a Baseball Hall of Famer and one of the game's greatest players, was born in the tiny hamlet of Narrows, Ga., on Dec. 18, 1886. He and his family soon moved to Royston, where young Cobb grew up. That's where you'll find the Ty Cobb Museum. He died in Atlanta in 1961.
