Don’t know Lisa Fischer? Well, you should.

Her powerful voice has backed up the Rolling Stones, Luther Vandross and Sting.

Enough of that, though.
She is now center stage with her band Grand Baton and it's well deserved.

Her astonishing range captivated fans with  her Grammy-winning 1991 hit,  “How Can I Ease the Pain.”

Fischer will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Rialto Center for the Arts.

"It's different because I'm so accustomed to just being supportive, so it's a shift," she said a previous interview with The Atlanta-Journal Constitution. "It's a mental shift for me. It's not like I'm fronting a band, it's more like I'm supporting the music and the purpose of the music."

Some may know Fischer from the 2013 documentary “20 Feet From Stardom,” which chronicles the lives of the unsung voices behind some of the greatest music.

Event:

Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton

8 p.m. Oct. 28
