Downtown Lawrenceville is among the long list of places in metro Atlanta that will forgo Fourth of July fireworks amid the coronavirus outbreak.

However, the Gwinnett County community is marking the calendar for fireworks and live music this fall on its newly renovated Lawrenceville Lawn.

The lawn has undergone a $1.5 million renovation since October and now features a permanent amphitheater, according to the city’s website.

“The renovation of the Lawrenceville Lawn will provide expanded facilities and a beautiful permanent stage for the community to enjoy our popular concert series,” Mayor David Still said in a statement. “Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our concert series was moved to the fall due to the Lawn renovations. We are thrilled to reopen the Lawrenceville Lawn with a premiere concert and fireworks after canceling our traditional July fireworks event in support of public health.”

The Live at the DTL concert series will take place in September and  October.

The series will kick off on Sept. 11 and be followed by a fireworks show. Food trucks will start serving at 6 p.m. and the music will start at 8 p.m.

Here’s the concert series lineup:

Sept. 11: Michael Jackson tribute

Sept. 25: Rumours - a Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Oct. 9: Electric Avenue - The ‘80s MTV experience
