TV crew warms up Tribute Lofts unit

Caren West's Tribute Lofts unit in Atlanta gets a makeover from TBS. The TV designers warmed up the concrete space with red curtains, white furniture, a mirrored wall and a chandelier.

The design crew from TBS' "Movie and a Makeover" helped owner Caren West make the most of high ceilings and huge windows.

The TBS designers created a dramatic effect in the living room with thick red curtains over shimmery red sheers.

A mirrored wall and a chandelier add the glam factor and make the bedroom seem much larger than it really is. The chandelier is West's favorite feature in the loft.

Strategically placed pendant lights and lamps help create small rooms within the larger space.

A tall, bubble-gum pink headboard gives the bedroom some pop.

Once again, pendant lights add a dose of glam to the space.

Square white bar stools were shortened to match the counter height. The seats were re-covered in white to match the living room furniture.

West checks out the Atlanta skyline from her window.

The design crew worked on the loft in three days in September, adding color, furnishings and lighting.

White furniture and dashes of color, as seen on this partial wall to the kitchen, warm up the concrete foundation.

"It can be quite daunting when you move into a new space, trying to be a designer when you're not," West said. "I was very lucky to have such a cool experience."

Among the features at Tribute Lofts is a rooftop whirlpool. Tribute, which recently won a new-construction award from Atlanta's Urban Design Commission, has sold less than half its 147 units. Many of the condos put up for auction had been under contract, but the deals fell through.
