Each year since 1973, the World Against Toys Causing Harm Inc., a consumer safety organization, releases its "10 Worst Toys" list to warn parents of the potentially hazardous toys on store shelves.

Members examine toys with inconsistent warnings and age recommendations, safety design and manufacturing and more when coming up with the list.

As you gear up to complete your holiday shopping, you may want to keep this list in mind.
