Food, arts, music and dancing will usher in the Snellville Fall Festival this weekend.

The inaugural festival, a production of the newly created Snellville Tourism and Trade Association, will be from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, on the City Hall green off Oak Road.

The event will feature more than 50 arts and crafts booths, food from local restaurants, a petting zoo, hay wagon rides and colorful inflatables. Face painters and costumed characters also will be on hand.

The Snellville Tourism and Trade Association, called STAT, is the new community-building arm of the city. Collections from the city's hotel/motel tax fund the group.
