Runners of all ages participated in the Gobble Jog around Marietta Square. The 1k, 5k, 10k and Tot Trot races benefit MUST Ministries.

More than 5,000 people began Thanksgiving Day by participating in the sixth annual Gobble Jog in Marietta. Brennan Schupp decided to wear his mother's turkey headwear for his second year doing the 5k.

Runners wait at the start line for the 5k. The event features a 1k, 5k and 10k run/walk and the Tot Trot for children 5 and under around Marietta Square. The 10k course is certified as a qualifier for seeding in the Peachtree Road Race and the U.S. 10k Cassic.

Nathan Batt of Atlanta uses his car's windows as a mirror to get ready for the 5k run. It was his first time running the race.

John Moeller, executive director of MUST Ministries, thanks runners before the start of the 5k. MUST is a Marietta-based housing program that provides services to homeless people and people living in poverty. Proceeds from the race benefit the charity.

Gobble Jog co-chairman Johnny Fulmer sells T-shirts, which were $5 each or five for $20.
