The 74-foot-tall Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is lit using 30,000 energy efficient LED lights.

The tree, usually a Norway spruce, has been put up, with the exception of 1932, every year since 1931.

The decorated Christmas tree remains lit at Rockefeller Center until the week after New Year's Day, when it is removed and recycled.
