Most may know Dr. Martin Luther King for being a change-maker in the fight for civil and human rights, but according to Rep. John Lewis, Dr. King had a great sense of humor and genuine concern for his friends, too.

In the video above, Lewis shares some of his favorite memories of Dr. King, including the time he helped Lewis pay for college.

“I will never forget it as long as I live,” Lewis said.
