Marietta

Join your local Marietta residents at the Marietta National Cemetery on May 30 for a Memorial Day ceremony not to forget. Hosted by The National Memorial Day Association of Georgia, this special ceremony will honor and celebrate the lives of those who served in the military and will feature inspirational speakers, a gun salute, the presentation of the colors, prayers and patriotic music. If you have veteran friends or family members who served in the military, make sure to bring them along to show your appreciation. Prior to the event, the Girl Scouts of America, Brownie Scouts, Boy Scouts of America and Cub Scouts will place flags on each of the graves at the Marietta National Cemetery.

Smyrna

The 2016 Memorial Day ceremony in Smyrna is organized and sponsored by the Smyrna Veterans Committee, the City of Smyrna, the American Legion Post 160, The Smyrna Rotary and the Veterans Memorial Association. Bring your loved ones to show your appreciation for your local Veterans and purchase a paver for the Twentieth Century Veterans Memorial. The ceremony officially begins at 9:30 a.m., but the public may arrive around 8:30 to find seating and enjoy pre-ceremony activities.
Acworth
