The sacrifice service members make for our country’s freedom doesn’t go unnoticed at the Huffty’s home. They have a nephew serving in the Middle East.

That’s one of the reasons why 90,000 lights blink on command.

"We raise money from our display for different charities," said Darren Huffty. "This year, we are raising for Operation Homefront and so we have a collection box out front. All the money, we give back to the charity."

Operation Homefront provides financial assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.

The Huffty’s said people from all over the country have donated by dropping money in their collection box.

Dee Liano is one of them, “I think he’s the best Santa Claus in the whole wide world.”

So far the display has raised about $1,000. The lights will be up until New Year’s Day.
