A fabulous dress is a staple for any holiday wardrobe whether it’s an LBD, a floor skimming metallic gown or a quirky take on the ‘20s era flapper fringe dress.

Designer Vera Wang prefers the look of an elegant black dress cinched at the waist with a belt.

Wang, who designs the Simply Vera Vera Wang line for Kohl’s Departments stores, said this season, statement jewelry is still a requisite. “Whether it’s around the office or to holiday parties, you can easily update your look by adding statement jewelry to your wardrobe. Try wearing pops of color...to add a little sparkle to your holiday ensemble,” Wang says.

Add heels, a cute clutch, and you’re all ready to go.

Here are a few of our favorites holiday dresses to provide a little inspiration.
