The director of the fashion program, Mory Green, provided the dark suits. She also suggested the matching Converse All-Stars.

Kiara Branch, who modeled the Fannie Mae part, is a fashion design student at Bauder College. Bauder teamed with the AJC for several costumes in the Halloween Costume Guide.

Tapp said the inner tube was the main part. After looking at several places for an inner tube, she decided to simply make one. She went to Michaels and bought a wreath, wrapped it in tissue and red and blue ribbon.

Kiara Branch and Jerromie Banks model this Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac costume designed by Lacy Tapp. All three are fashion students at Atlanta's Bauder College.

The masks were made with two boxes, which Tapp covered with pattern paper that the students use for designing. The house structure was built with Bristol Board. Tapp then colored the boards.

Bauder College fashion design student Lacy Tapp said she started out brainstorming a Medusa costume. She later decided on this more timely approach, illustrating foreclosures and trying to keep Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae afloat.
