Holiday stuffing takes on a different meaning during the Atlanta Botanical Garden's 10th annual Scarecrows in the Garden throughout October, well before we get to our own end-of-the-year gluttony.

The attraction's winding paths and woods are populated by more than 125 scarecrows hand-crafted by businesses, organizations, schools and individuals. These inspired makers get in the Halloween spirit with ample use of pumpkins, black fabric, wheat straw, cornstalks and (in naming their creations) oodles of bad puns. A couple of names are inspired by our ghoulish economy: Monster Deficit and If My Accountant Only Had a Brain.
