99X presents Mistle Toe Jam concert

The concert bill included Silverchair, the Shins, Modest Mouse and others.

Modest Mouse (right), Silverchair, The Shins and Silversun Pickups rocked the Gwinnett Arena Sunday at the annual 99X Mistle Toe Jam 2007.

Modest Mouse was formed in 1993 by vocalist/guitarist Isaac Brock (right), bassist Eric Judy, guitarist Dann Gallucci and drummer Jeremiah Green.

Platinum-selling Modest Mouse performs "Ocean Breathes Salty" Sunday night at Mistle Toe Jam.

Ex-Smiths and The The guitarist Johnny Marr joined Modest Mouse in 2006.

According to their website, Modest Mouse's name comes from the Virginia Woolf story "The Mark on the Wall," which reads, "...and very frequent even in the minds of modest, mouse-coloured people..."

99X staffers Leslie Fram and Dutch present a $10,000 check to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Composer-guitarist-pianist Daniel Paul Johns formed Silverchair in 1992 as Short Elvis, then changed the name to Innocent Criminals.

Silverchair members were only 14 years old when they broke into the music industry.

Silverchair released their album "Young Modern" this year.

Natalie Werve of Duluth has attended 28 Silverchair concerts on their current tour.
