Flip-flops may be convenient and easy to slide on, but they can wreak havoc on your feet if you’re not careful.

Made with flat material and thin thong straps, these sandals can cause your feet to over grip. That can bring on some painful conditions.

You can develop plantar fasciitis, inflammation at the bottom of the foot, sprain your ankle or even create bunions.

That’s why podiatrists say these sandals should only be reserved for poolside and beach activity and not everyday wear.
