Josephine Brennan-Kuss and her husband Terry run a wildlife orphanage with many kinds of animals, especially kangaroos.
One of them, named Bella has been a lifesaver for both.
For a number of weeks, when Josephine fed the animals, Bella would pay special attention to spots on her body.
After the animal continually licked several spots on her caretaker's face, Josephine got the message.
"I'd been meaning to get them checked for ages, and I just kept forgetting," she told The Daily Mail.

The spots turned out to be Basel cell carcinomas, but thanks to Bella, they were caught early.
Josephine has been through surgery and will have more in July to remove the lesions. However, her prognosis is good, thanks to a caring kangaroo.
“We're still in awe ourselves, because if it hadn't been for Bella, I wouldn't have got it checked out.”
This isn't the first time the animal has played doctor for the Coober Pedy, Australia couple.
Several years ago, Bella's attention predicted a series of strokes that struck Terry.
