Dunkin' Donuts announced this week it would drop titanium dioxide from its powdered donuts after a public interest group argued it can cause DNA and chromosomal damage. (Source: AsYouSow.org)

Dunkin’ Donuts claims titanium dioxide is not a “nonmaterial” but agreed to remove the chemical nonetheless.
The company also said the move will not change the appearance of its baked goods, and they have been in the process of phasing out titanium dioxide since 2014, Time reports.
